Surface treated: the purpose of surface treatment is to prevent caking of the pills during storage. In addition, surface treatment increases the strength of the pills. Surface treated urea can be used for both fertilization and certain industrial purposes.

Application
The amide nitrogen in urea has a relatively long lasting effect. It transforms to nitrate through biochemical processes and the intermediate products are not leached from the soil, therefore, this product is excellent for basic fertilization. As a 0.5 to 1% solution, it can be used for leaf fertilization as its aqueous solution does not burn the plant. For animal breeding, urea can provide the 25% to 30% of the protein need of ruminants. Industry uses urea and formaldehyde to produce resin like amino plastics and timber adhesives.

For fertilization: It is recommended for soils well supplied with calcium, airy and with vivid microbiological activity. The ammoniacal generated with its decomposition loosens the waxy layer of the vegetable residues, thus, it help and speeds up their humification.

Spreading
It is recommended to get the urea in the soil at least two or three weeks before sowing to avoid the germination of the seeds to be hindered by the ammoniacal (ammonia) generated during decomposition.

Its favourable grain size and physical properties allow both land and air spreading, by either conventional rotary disc spreaders or pneumatic spreaders.

Its solution generally mixes well with plant protective agents, thus, leaf fertilization can be applied together with the various chemical plant protective operations.
